PhD in Communication Studies, Federal University of Bahia, 2008 is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the Federal University of Paraná, Brazil. He works as a CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, Brazil) productivity research fellow and coordinates the Research Group on Media, Politics, and Technology (PONTE/UFPR). His interests focus on Political Communication, Journalism, Public Opinion, and Digital Democracy. Dr. Marques supervises M.Sc. and Ph.D. students for both the Political Science and Communication Graduate Programs. Recent publications: “What are newspaper editorials interested in?
